How to Sign "Family" in ASL
Category: People
Handshape: F-hand (both hands)
Step-by-step
- Make an F handshape with both hands (thumb and index touching, other fingers up).
- Start with both palms facing outward, thumbs touching.
- Move your hands apart and around in a circle until your pinkies meet, palms now facing you.
Deaf-culture tip
The circle represents the group. Use the same motion with different handshapes for 'team', 'class', 'group'.
