We're a Deaf-owned company and we treat your data the way we'd want ours treated: collect only what's needed, never sell it, and explain it plainly.

Who we are

Deaf Culture App is operated by SignSpaces LLC, a Deaf-owned company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Our app and servers operate in the United States, so if you use the app from outside the US your data will be processed here.

Information we collect

• Account info — your name and email when you sign up.
• Learning data — lessons completed, streaks, and progress, so we can save where you left off.
• Onboarding answers — your goal and experience level, used only to tailor your lessons.
• Payment info — handled by our payment processor (Apple, Google, or Stripe). We never see or store your full card details.
• Device & usage data — basic technical info such as device type and app version, collected through our backend and crash tools (Supabase and RevenueCat) to keep the app working and fix bugs.

How we use it

To run the app, personalize your learning path, process subscriptions, send service messages, and improve our lessons. That's it.

What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your data to train unrelated products.

Who we share data with

We share limited data only with service providers who help us run the app: Apple, Google, and Stripe for payments and subscriptions, and Supabase and RevenueCat for hosting, authentication, and subscription management. They may only use it to provide their service to us.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time directly in the app from your profile, or by emailing us. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to keep certain records.

Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13, and accounts must be created and managed by an adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

Your choices

You can access, correct, or delete your account data at any time from your profile, or by emailing us. You can cancel your subscription whenever you like.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version on this page.
