SignSpaces LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Deaf Culture app and culture.signspaces.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
We are a Deaf-owned company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Privacy is core to our values. We collect the minimum necessary information to deliver the Service.
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (or OAuth tokens if you sign in with Google or Apple).
Learning activity: We track which lessons you complete, your streak, and your progress. This data lets us show your stats, save your progress between sessions, and improve the curriculum.
Payment information: If you subscribe to Premium, payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers. We retain only your subscription status, billing email, and Stripe customer ID.
Technical data: Standard web analytics: browser type, device type, IP address (anonymized), and pages visited. This helps us identify bugs and improve performance.
Communications: If you email us or fill out a form (including the contact form), we keep that correspondence to respond to you.
We do not sell your personal information. Ever. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
The Deaf Culture app is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@signspaces.com and we will promptly delete the information.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure password hashing, and access controls on our database. Payment processing is handled by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant.
