By creating an account or using the Deaf Culture app, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
The Deaf Culture app provides educational content about Deaf culture, history, identity, arts, and modern life. The curriculum is built by Deaf educators and reviewed for cultural accuracy.
The Service includes:
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized account access if you have not maintained reasonable security.
Monthly Subscription: $4.99 per month, billed monthly via Stripe. Includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
Annual Subscription: $39.99 per year, billed once per year via Stripe. Includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Saves 33% compared to monthly billing.
Free Trial: If you start a free trial, you will not be charged for the first 7 days. To avoid being charged, cancel your subscription before the trial period ends. After the trial, your subscription will automatically renew (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you selected) until cancelled.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by emailing us. Upon cancellation, you will retain access through the end of your current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial months or partial years.
Refunds: If you are charged in error or experience a serious technical issue that prevents use of the Service, contact us within 30 days at support@signspaces.com to request a refund. Refunds are issued at our discretion.
Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with 30 days' advance notice via email. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.

All lesson content, curriculum design, app interface, brand assets, and related materials are owned by SignSpaces LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal educational purposes. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Your learning progress data belongs to you. You may export or delete it at any time.
The Service teaches about Deaf culture, history, and identity. Where the Deaf community holds diverse views on a topic, we present multiple perspectives respectfully.
Lessons include academic citations and historical sources, but content reflects educational summaries rather than primary research. Users should consult primary sources for academic, legal, or medical use.
The Service is not a substitute for ASL instruction, professional training, or culturally competent mental health care. If you need professional support related to Deaf identity, hearing loss, or related topics, please consult a qualified provider.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet all of your specific requirements.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SignSpaces LLC and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to other users or our Service. You may close your account at any time by emailing us.
Upon termination, your access to Premium content ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms relating to intellectual property, liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah.
